The 7th Da Lat Flower Festival will be held from December 23-27. 2017 themed “Flowers of Da Lat – Miracle from the good earth”.
At a press on 17th November, Phan Van Da, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee announced all information about this yearly festival.
There will be 16 mains programs and more than 30 auxiliary events are held in Da Lat City, Bao Loc City, and several localities in Lam Dong Province.
In 2017, local government make the festival focus on introduces branding of flowers and tourism in Da Lat. Green tea and silk product from Lam Dong province also are main purpose.
Lam Dong Tea Weak and Da Lat Flower Festival were organised separate in previous years but this time they are putted together.
The five-day festival will feature a fashion week of silk and “ao dai” (traditional Vietnamese gown) and art performances.
In order to promote investment in Lam Dong, to discuss Da Lat’s development planning and to develop local tea and silk, a series of workshops will be held within the event.
The Da Lat Flower Festival is held biennially. After six editions, the province’s flower growing area increased from 800 ha in 2005 to 8,400 ha in 2017 with output up five fold.
