ITINERARY
Full-Day Hanoi Jeep Tour
- Duration: 8 hours
- Starting time: 08:00
- Finishing time: 16:00
- Group Size: Maximum 6 people
Morning Time
Our team will pick you up from your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter. You’ll meet your guide and driver for a short safety briefing before starting your adventure.
We begin with a visit to the Hanoi Opera House, Vietnam’s largest theater and an architectural landmark that has hosted many national events. From there, we take you off the beaten path to experience the real Hanoi – exploring hidden backstreets, tiny alleys, local homes, schools, and bustling markets. This is where you’ll see how locals truly live, work, and play.
Unlike ordinary tours that only show the beautiful side of the city, we reveal both the charming and the authentic aspects of Hanoi — the good, the bad, and the quirky — because that’s what makes the city real.
Next, we visit the city’s must-see landmarks:
- Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where the late president’s body is preserved, symbolizing national unity.
- Thanh Nien Street, one of Hanoi’s most scenic roads, lying between two lakes.
- Banana Island, a hidden rural gem just a few kilometers from the city center, where you can visit farms, meet local families, taste tropical fruits, and enjoy green tea.
- West Lake and Truc Bach Lake, where you’ll explore peaceful villages and discover the harmony between urban and rural life.
- Van Nien Pagoda, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Hanoi, dating back over 1,000 years.
As we continue, you’ll ride along Hoang Hoa Tham Street, famous for its bonsai gardens and flower shops. The Jeep will also take you through narrow backstreets and historic sites, including the B52 crash site, while showing the contrast between Hanoi’s old neighborhoods and its modern skyline.
For lunch, we’ll stop at authentic local restaurants and street eateries to taste Hanoi’s best dishes — traditional family recipes and local specialties.
Afternoon time
We leave the busy city behind, crossing the bridge over the Red River to reach the peaceful countryside. Here, you’ll see lush rice paddies, quiet villages, and meet local farmers to learn about their daily lives in the Red River Delta.
We’ll visit a local market to see how people trade and shop, then head to Co Loa Citadel, the ancient capital of Vietnam built by King An Duong Vuong in 247 BC. Your guide will share fascinating stories about this historical site.
Next, the Jeep takes you through farmland to visit a local family’s fruit garden, where you can enjoy freshly picked tropical fruits and see traditional rural life up close.
We finish the tour with a scenic drive back to Hanoi along the Red River, enjoying the beautiful countryside views. After long driving and visiting now our time for relaxing and enjoying Vietnamese coffee and you could try the famous coffee of Hanoi is Egg coffee – a sweet and creamy local favorite.
Afterward, we’ll drop you off at your hotel. Tour ends.

4. Do we go INSIDE the tourist attractions?
Our focus is NOT entirely on the tourist attractions. On this tour, we don’t go INSIDE the attractions, but instead, we will take you to the HIDDEN GEMS and HARD-TO-FIND places that show you the REAL Hanoi. We spend our time taking you off the beaten path and to the less frequently visited sites, showcasing the authentic Hanoi that you cannot discover on your own.
During the tour, we PASS BY & DRIVE PAST some of the iconic landmarks where we pause for photos. The tour is catered to offer a unique experience for our guests that showcase Hanoi from a different angle. If any attraction interests you, you can always revisit the place on your own and spend as long as you’d like.
