Vatican
Located inside Rome, Italy, the Vatican – the world’s smallest country – does not have its own airport. Visitors can come here through the airport of the Italian capital.
Another country sit inside Italy is San Marino and doesn’t have any airport. The fifth smallest country in the world has only 33,000 people and the closest airport is Federico Fellini International Airport in Miramare, Italy (about 15 kilometers).
Monaco
To reach Monaco, the second-smallest country in the world, you will have to land at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport in France, then take a 25-minute ride.
Nauru and Tuvalu
Nauru and Tuvalu are third and fourth small countries in the world but they have their own airport. However their airports are too small so visitors have to transit in other country then take smaller airplane.
Liechtenstein
People who traveling to Liechtenstein have to arrive at the Swiss International Airport of Gallen-Altenrhein, about 40 kilometers from the capital of Liechtenstein.
Andorra
Andorra has a difficult terrain, making the construction of the runway difficult. Therefore, visitors must come here via airport in Spain or France.
Palestine
Palestinian territory has no airport, visitors must come through Ben Gurion airport in Israel.
