The Guardian Names Quy Nhon Among Best Destinations For Winter Sun

A beach city in Southern of Vietnam name Quy Nhon just got into top 10 winter sun destinations for 2018 by he U.K. newspaper The Guardian. A warm and sunny beach in the middle of winter seems unlikely in Europe, but look no further than Vietnam, according to the Guardian.

Fishing is main industry in Quy Nhon, the capital of Binh Dinh Province, and locals can often be seen swinging along the coast in coracle boats between different fishing vessels.

This town is home of long and sandy beach which remain nature thanks for the low number of tourist unlike hotspots city Nha Trang or Danang.

“The intense resort development seen in the country’s more popular seaside locations has yet to reach this region, making for a laid back atmosphere and the perfect place for a relaxed getaway,” said the Guardian.

Back then in 2015, Quy Nhon was named as one of best nine authentic escapes in Southeast Asia by the U.K. travel publisher Rough Guides.

There are some good way to enjoy the town. One of this is take a table in a café or bar on the beachfront. In the other hand, by some supper fresh local seafood from the boat just comeback, a small fire and cold-beer right on the long beach.

Eateries at a local fishing village all offer similar menus, but a whole grilled fish is recommended.

The best way to  go to Quy Nhon is take one of daily flight from Ho Chi Minh City. Alternative option if you don’t rush about time and want to save some money is take a 12-hours sleeper bus.

The Guardian’s winter sun list is compiled by writers based in hotspots around the world, offering options for “shaking off the winter blues with the promise of sun, sea and palm-fringed sands.”

The list also suggests Rincón de Guayabitos in Mexico, Hiriketiya Bay in Sri Lanka, Keurboomstrand in South Africa, Rosario Islands in Colombia, Grande-Anse beach in Guadeloupe which is a region of France, Kirra in Australia’s Gold Coast, Bang Saen in Thailand, Tanjung Rhu in Malaysia and Velas in India.
