Vietnam Airlines Schedules More Flights For Tet 2018

The Vietnamese national airlines said that they are ready to operate more flight for upcoming Tet 2018 to serve passengers.

About 1,100 flights with 220,000 seats are scheduled between January 31st and March 2nd, 2018 (December 15th to January 15th of the lunar calendar) for increasing number of customers during peak season, make the total seats ready for this holiday up to 1.5 millions which mean 9% increase than normal.

Nearly 160 flights are added to peak days by Vietnam Airlines. All of these are popular and high demand domestic routes from/to major cities Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh city/Vinh/Can Tho/Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh city-Da Nang/Hai Phong/Thanh Hoa/Vinh/Dong Hoi/Hue/Pleiku/Quy Nhon/Buon Ma Thuot/Nha Trang/Phu Quoc.

In which, the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh city route sees 237 flights, mostly using Boeing 787, Airbus A350, A330 aircraft; Ho Chi Minh city-Da Nang route enjoys 212 flights (using Airbus A321 aircraft); and Ho Chi Minh city-Hue route adds 104 flights (using Airbus A321 aircraft).

Passengers are advised to come to the airport at least 3 hours before depart time to check in and avoid crowded. Online check in also is recommend in order help to reduce the load for the check-in counter at the airport.

The Carrier has also already prepared its aircrafts, pilots, flight attendants, technical staffs and ground services, as well as developing a flexible operational plan.
