Vietnamese E-Visa Available To 6 More Countries

Vietnamese E-Visa was extended from 40 to 46 countries, and this time it’s included major tourism market Australia and India.

According to government website, the e-visa system is now available for tourists from Australia, Canada, India, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the U.A.E.

From 1st February 2017, Vietnam had introduced its electronic visa system which allow citizen from 40 countries including China, Japan, South Korea, the U.S., the U.K., Germany and Sweden, all major target markets for Vietnam’s tourism sector.

As newest report, Australia is 7th biggest market of Vietnam’s tourism industry and among the top spenders, visitors from the other countries grown strongly in 2017.

Visitors can apply for 30-days single entry visa thanks for this program and even can pay visa fee online.

The online form should be done through official website run by Ministry of Public Security, there are 2 different once in Vietnamese and English (http://www.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn and http://www.immigration.gov.vn), applicants will receive an application code and a non-refundable fee will be required. And it takes 3 working days to find out if their applications have been approved or not.

Visitors with e-visa can arrive Vietnam through 8 international airports which included 2 biggest and major once in Hanoi (Noi Bai International Airport) and Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat International Airport). They can also enter Vietnam at 13 international border gates by land, or at 7 seaports all over the country.

As a plan to make tourism become key of economic, this trial problem is expected to help increase the number of tourists to Vietnam.

Vietnam hopes to welcome 17-20 million foreign visitors and gains $35 billion per year by 2020 with new law and policy to boost the tourism industry.

More than 11.6 visitors arrive Vietnam in the first 11 months of 2017, a 28% jump from last year, as a report by General Statistics Office.
